Violento derby Londrino


Não se esperava outra coisa. Quando o sorteio da Taça da Liga Inglesa ditou o confronto entre os Hammers e os The Lions, já todos previam uma tarde/noite de segunda feira muito agitada para os lados de Upton Park. O West Ham recebeu e venceu após prolongamento o Millwall por 3-1, após tarde de violência fora do estádio e 6 minutos de interrupção do jogo. Relatos da imprensa britânica após o esfaqueamento de um adepto de 44 anos durante a tarde ainda antes do encontro começar.

"A man has been stabbed and violent battles have broken out between rival football fans in “large-scale” crowd trouble in east London, according to police. Hundreds of fans were involved in the disorder outside Upton Park during the Carling Cup second-round tie between West Ham United and Millwall and play was suspended for a brief time when home fans spilled on to the pitch to celebrate their side scoring a second goal."

"I brought my kids with me tonight and they've seen some violence that is indescribable."
